ITALIAN HYALURONIC ACID ANTI-AGE RECIPE

ITALIAN HYALURONIC ACID ANTI-AGE RECIPE

Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally present in humans, but also in animals, bacteria, fungi, the highest concentration of which in humans is localized:

  • in the dermis, i.e. in the connective tissue of the skin,
  • in the articular cartilages and in the synovial fluid that fills the joint cavities,
  • in the tendons and vitreous humor of the eye.

HYALURONIC ACID

Given that the hyaluronic acid found in the tissues is continuously metabolized and then disposed of. It is necessary for the body to synthesize it again to fill the resulting deficiency.

However, over time, or due to particular pathologies, the production of hyaluronic acid tends to decrease, causing skin aging (and therefore loss of firmness and elasticity of the skin, APPEARANCE OF WRINKLES) or joint problems.

WHY IS HYALURONIC ACID SO IMPORTANT THEN?

Because it absorbs water and releases it according to the body's needs, maintaining the correct hydration and humidity of the tissues.

Thanks to this ability, hyaluronic acid is extremely precious because it helps the skin to remain hydrated and elastic, to protect the tissues and to lubricate the joints and, lastly, to act as a shield against infections.

HIS OWN STORY…

Hyaluronic acid owes its name to the biochemist Karl Meyer and his assistant John W. Palmer, who combined the words Hyalos (which in ancient Greek means vitreous) and Uronic Acid (Uronic Acid), when in 1934 they discovered the existence of this molecule within the bovine vitreous humor. It was only in the 1960s that it was discovered that hyaluronic acid was also present in humans, thus paving the way for its use for tissue repair. Later it will be of great help in cataract surgery up to its very wide use for the treatment of osteoarthritis and in aesthetic medicine, perhaps the use we know best of this substance.

HYALURONIC ACID FOR SKIN BEAUTY

HOW DOES HYALURONIC ACID MAKE OUR SKIN YOUNG?

Hyaluronic acid, thanks to its extraordinary ability to bind water, has a HYDRATING FUNCTION IN THE TISSUES and is able to reactivate cellular functionality, STIMULATING THE PRODUCTION OF NEW COLLAGEN. Based on this process, formulas specifically indicated for skin rejuvenation have been created, with revitalizing, redensifying and illuminating activities that improve the appearance of the skin, both in the field of aesthetic medicine and in cosmetics.
If other components useful for skin rejuvenation are added to the hyaluronic acid-based creams, then the result will be truly effective. Among these elements we mention the antioxidant vitamins A, C and E, coenzyme Q10, collagen, selenium and lipodic acid which are also found at the base of FOOD SUPPLEMENTS capable of supporting hyaluronic acid in the battle against skin aging.

HYALURONIC ACID AND FOOD

Nutrition can help you achieve great results in skin care. In fact, there are some foods that NATURALLY STIMULATE THE PRODUCTION of our ally against wrinkles. Surely, we will have to put in our shopping cart foods that contain antioxidants. Among the most common we can mention those that contain vitamins A, C, E, omega-3 and polyphenols.

WHAT TO EAT

  • fruit: ORANGES, KIWI, LEMON, GRAPES, PINEAPPLE, POMEGRANATE, APRICOTS AND BLUEBERRIES
  • vegetables: CAULIFLOWER, PARSLEY, CARROT, CUCUMBER, FENNEL, GREEN SALAD, SPINACH, PUMPKIN
  • but also green tea, white meats, fish and low-fat cheeses among the fish, the most recommended are TUNA, HERRING, MACKEREL AND SALMON

PLEASE NOTE: according to research carried out by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, the effects of vegetables are more effective when they are CONSUMED RAW because cooking can cause the very precious antioxidants to be lost.

WHAT NOT TO EAT

There are foods that favor the absorption of hyaluronic acid and therefore reduce it in the skin. Among these we find:

  • the saturated fats contained above all in OIL, BUTTER, RED MEATS AND FATTY CHEESES
  • SIMPLE SUGARS that speed up the aging process and therefore promote the appearance of wrinkles.

HYALURONIC ACID IN MEDICINE

As repeatedly mentioned, hyaluronic acid, in addition to being useful for counteracting skin aging, is used with great success in the medical field to treat some specific pathologies.
In fact, it is used:

  • in the treatment of acute and chronic skin lesions
  • in the intra-articular treatment of osteoarthritis and acute and overload cartilage injuries
  • in ophthalmic and general surgery as an anti-adhesive substance

PRECAUTIONS

Being a substance naturally produced by our body, HYALURONIC ACID HAS NO CONTRAINDICATIONS; on the other hand, it can cause unpleasant reactions if injected in the form of a filler during a cosmetic surgery session. In the case of hyaluronic acid injections as a filler against wrinkles, in fact, the skin reacts with small bruises, ecchymoses and slight swellings, an immediate consequence of the injection, which in case of an error can last for a few days. An incorrect injection or dosage can even cause nodules, edema, intense itching or abscesses on the skin, causing great aesthetic and health discomforts. It is therefore essential to contact COMPETENT DOCTORS.
While, in the case in which hyaluronic acid is used for INFILTRATIONS AGAINST ARTHROSIS, a wrong injection can cause swelling, pain limited to the area where the injection was made, sensation of heat and redness; it is important to avoid them if you have an active viral or bacterial infection.

    CURIOSITY

    • Recently some studies have shown that hyaluronic acid is also involved in the processes of proliferation and GROWTH OF HAIR AND HAIR.
    • 1 gram of hyaluronic acid is able to hold a volume of 3 liters of water.
    • at 20 the hyaluronic acid we have in our body retains 100% of the water. At 30 years it drops to 65%, at 50 years it drops to 45% and at 65 it drops to 25%
